After 20+ years working in technology creating software. I have become quite philosophical about how the industry has evolved for both good and bad.

What I believe:

Technology has the ability to have huge positive impact on our lives, but I'm sceptical about modern technology companies and growth at all costs.

That technology should benefit all and not just a few.

Technology should help people achieve their goals without the need to steal our attention with relentless notifications and ads.

Technology creates the problems that technology solves. Each problem solved creates a new one, and is creating compounding complexity.

People's work should provide a purpose, but not consume every waking moment.

A growth mindset is about improving as people, not the relentless pursuit of revenue or instant gratification

That as much as possible we should leave the world undamaged but hopefully better than we entered it. Something humans haven't being doing for a while.
